People usually make (AdSense-oriented, at least) AIS sites with as little effort as possible. It's not about the quality of the site, it's about making money. Perhaps even to the degree of border line search engine spam. AIS sites generally make no real contribution to the Internet or anyone but the owner (again, talking about AdSense here). I believe you've already wrote something to this effect yourself.
