Hi Gary,

Hope the bike ride went ok - certainly the weather for it.

I was gutted to hear that our daily income postings are about to finish - Its become compulsive reading - proper "reality" blogging! Maybe in the future you can just let us know if you top your record....

Just a quick question - From reading your posts, all your adsense sites appear to be "get in, make a few quid, get out and move on" type sites. Just wondering, have you setup or are you running any more long term sites, and if so what are the adsense returns like on them - are they worth it?

The reason I ask is I am planning a CMS type site in which I would like to give out information (about travelling) and would also like user input - forums, articles and the like. Its obviously going to be a fair bit of work (but should be interesting). What do you reckon? Would Adsense earnings a - pay for the hosting, b - get me some beer money, c - help me replace my knackered laptop or d - buy me a ferrari?

Cheers and lets hope for a big total in tomorrows (final?) AIS report,
Rich

Bike ride was good. I only did 18 miles, down to Arlingham and back.

Anyway, I will carry on posting if I get particularly good results, the point of this one week was to show that in an average week (ie not a holiday week, not Xmas etc), it is possible to earn quite good money for doing no work. At the end of the 7 days I'll post a more detailed breakdown of the sales.

I think that a Community site would be good fun, but a lot of work. I don't have any long term sites like that, as I prefer to be able to just up and leave when I feel like it rather than be tied to a site...

On such a community site, I would expect that Adsense would at least pay for the hosting with a little extra on top.

Exactly so - once they are built and promoted, I never look at them again. They can just stay there until the Domain Name needs renewing. Then I'll take a look and see what it's earned and (maybe) renew the Domain...
